So: Colorsport 30 Day Eyelash & Brow Dye Kit in Dark Brown. Because of the ‘mix it up’ aspect of the biz, I read the directions thoroughly several times, and consulted them throughout the process.
Good thing, as you leave this stuff on for 10 minutes if you are dying your lashes, but only 2 minutes if dying your brows. Serious potential for disaster there, right?
Hmmm, well, maybe not. Here’s what I learned from doing it myself.
You get a little tube of dye, a little bottle of developer, and a little application wand, all handily tucked into the little tray in which you concoct your dye.
The directions say to dispense 2cm {1 inch} of dye into the well of the tray.
What in the world is 2cms of solid material? Like, weight or volume or what? 1 inch of dye? What are they even talking about? I know what a 80cm fence looks like — is 2cm even detectable to the naked eye?
As ever, I erred on the side of excess, and made way to much. The dye is supposed to be creamy, but not runny, so it doesn’t drip down your face.
I was expecting the developer liquid to be tricky to shake out of the bottle, given its resemblance to an essential oil, but the stuff came flying out of the spout.
So then I had to add more dye. I should have sent out an email alert or something, I think I could have dyed allll the bloggette’s brows with this round of product.
The wand is not a brush. It is a stick. Okay. Whatever! Here we went:
As odd as the applicator is, it works fine. Not great, but fine. A brush would really be more useful. Having said that, a brush would be a bitch to clean. A comb? Eh, doesn’t matter: I managed to apply the dye without it running down my face, and coloured within the lines.
I wiped it off with cotton pads… and wasn’t too impressed by the colour. So I did it again, for a total of 4 minutes.
Yeah, okay. Not bad! I think — me so cray cray — that I may use the black version of this dye, after I’ve used up all the dark brown. Or maybe I can work out a swap with somebody who may want this? I like sparkly stuff, just as a matter of interest.
At the end of the day, all I want is a base upon which to build up the brows, with my precious, precious AVON Glimmerstick Brow Definer in Soft Brown. Which I also may like to try in black. I know! It sounds completely mad! ‘Blonde’ with black brows! Like what, Madonna c. 1987?
^^ OMGGGG I got that right without even googling. Look!

It occurs that ‘BEFORE’ PICTURES WOULD HAVE COME IN USEFUL.

I got this at Boots and can’t remember how much it is because it was a 3 for 2 deal. I also got a retractable lip brush and something else that I have already forgotten about. Oh! A 24hr black eyeliner, also Colorsport, which I may talk about at some future stage.
I am impressed! And glad it turned out well for your brows :)
It’s not bad! We’ll see how long it lasts, too…
Try the light brown tint. With your blonde hair it would look nicer since you have thick brows as well.
